A servant-led café in Washington Square.

Upsidedown Coffee began as a mobile coffee cart at markets and pop-ups. After a year of traveling with their coffee cart, Josh and Bri Orton decided to make it a permanent landmark in the Holland area.

The couple wanted to pay homage to the historic Washington Square building by furnishing the space with predominantly thrifted and refurbished pieces. Everything is used or handmade—the bar and countertops Josh made himself, while the light fixtures used to belong to a church.
